Below is a small planting plan of the garden I have designed for a the front and back garden planting, situated in West Wickham. The projects brief was to create an enclosed, private garden with plants that would create an area of clam and quietness. I chose a wide variety of plants including, Photinia x fraseri 'Red Robin' to plant at the back of the border as well as an Aucuba japonica for height and privacy. For the front of the border I chose low growing, good ground cover plants such as a Geranium cantabrigiense 'Biokono' and Vinca major.
The aim of this task was to choose a location for a landscape intervention. My chosen site was Twinkle Park, Deptford, the surrounding residential area and the local community space/allotments. Below are a series of diagrams that have enabled me to analysis the site and take into consideration the existing features of the site and what suitable proposals to the site there could be.
